About

Justin A. Garbiso

I've always been the guy with a camera, going back to the old camcorder days. It got serious about four years ago when I picked up a DSLR, and a lot of that was thanks to my son, Tyler. He took a photography class in high school, and ever since, the two of us have spent time traveling the world shooting together. Tyler has since turned it into his career and travels the world for work as a professional photographer. You can find his work at Tyler Garbiso Photography.

Wildlife is where my heart is. Most of what you'll see here comes from time spent in the field, from the salmon runs of Katmai in Alaska to two trips through the rainforests of Costa Rica, along with the quiet moments closer to home.

Sports came the way a lot of things do, through my kid. Tyler played baseball for eleven years, all the way through a season in college, and I spent those years in the stands. Somewhere along the way I started bringing a camera, and I've been shooting sports for the last four years. I'm based in Castle Rock, Colorado, and available for freelance sports photography within about an hour of home.
